How many sedan owner here are under 35?
Hum, I suppose the beauty is in the eye of the beholder then. My Dreamcar is a 68 Fastback. Good luck with the Shelby fanatsy, lol. Hub's granddad used to restore and sell them in Pensacola. That's where he learned to work on cars. I have a fascination with 60's...and below. My All TIme Fav is the 57 Bel Air Coupe.
I have never liked Fords myself, would never own one (except the "toy) unless it was a 60's stang. But that is his passion. And It has taught me much. The 1st tranny I ever dropped was a C-6.
When it comes to my DD, it will always be and has been a *** vehicle.

Domestic FTL. Ricer burners FTMFW!
I Love 60's and 70's Domestics, too. Anything past...lets just call it '75 to accommodate quite a few extras, I hate. Dream car: 70 Chevelle SS 454 (original) in Metallic Blue with White racing stripes WITH the pinstripe around the racing stripes. Would also settle for a 67-69 Camaro, a 71 Split bumper Camaro, 70 Charger, 65 Moose-tang, GT500 or GT350, etc.
My dad's got an 87 Buick Grand National sitting in our garage right now that puts down around 780-850 whp, and around 850lb-ft.

Ah yes, the GN is AWESOME! Stock it is bada**! Dan in STL posted up a beautiful pic of a Camaro in the "what did you have before a G" thread. Check it out for REAL!
Ah and old style stangs as track cars FTMFW! BECAUSE they are cheap to mod, can handle lots of hp and torque, parts are littered EVERYWHERE, dime a dozen.
You can do anything you want with them, they will be fast as hell, and it won't cost you an arm and leg. Great toy's. Now dependability......we wont go there.

hahah this one is FAR from stock. FAR FAR FAR away from stock.
4.2L stroker block, Turbonetics GTK 850, meth injection 80# injectors F.A.S.T. XFI full standalone ECU, etc, etc, etc...
First and only car that has ever "scared" me
!!!! It was enough to make me let off the gas pedal from a 7lb launch. I thought I was going to have to clean his seat...and the steering wheel!

Just curious, can you explain why fords are ghey??
I know the furd taurus wagon I had was about as sporty as a brick, but I had it for almost 10 years without any problems and it lugged around all kinds of kiddie crap while I had little ones. Handled MUCH better than any mini-van.
But, my Bronco II 4x4 did GREAT in the sand at the beach on my fishing trips!!!
My 69 Mach I kept breaking down, which taught me how to turn wrenches since I was only making min. wage in HS and college.....
The SVT Cobras I owned REALLY performed better than any other car I've ever owned especially when it came to reliability!!!!
After I lowered it with Steeda products and put 275's at the corners, it handled better than any car I've ever driven...well there was this Z06....but, you get my point.
Didn't put brake pads on them til about 70K miles, belts on them til 80K miles and when I did I had PLENTY of pad and my belts weren't even cracked!!! Was 10 years and I figured it was time....
Ok, I know, mustang owner and bmw owners get a bad rep.
So, it's easy to generalize. I've noticed that there are a lot of members that have owned or still own mustangs here.
So, just wondered WHY you say they are ghey....
Drivers? Car? Perception? Generalizing?

The SVT's are awesome cars (minus the SVT Focus/contour...what a waste of a good SVT Badge). I actually *puts flame suit on* almost bought an 04 Mustang GT in Torch Red before I bought my G.

Hey! We could be brothers!
Sorry SVTCobra that you got drug into Brandon's bull. lol. I knew he was just trying to give me a hard time. I still <3 you Brandon dearest!
And I agree with you SVT. Same with the hub, as you will see in my prev post. His Granddad restored Classic stangs for a living - specializing in Shelby's and Mach's. That where he learned to work on cars. And he taught me....ok, so still in a big learning curve. It is his passion. Fords in general.
Where's Janik BTW! I swear I can't get ou two on at the same time! We are hitting the Mardi Gras parade tomorrow....I LOVE MG!

FavreOnSunday, Love the new G wheels on your G!!!
When my wife turned 40 she said she wanted a sports car. At the time we had a bronco II and taurus sedan. I didn't pay her much attention, until she said 'how about a mustang?'. So, we got her a ruby red 98 GT convert, same color combo as yours. A couple of months late we went to the mustang 35th anniv. at Lowes Motor Speedway where I saw a Cobra engine. I just pointed and started grunting that I had to have one. Found a low mileage cobra two months late...

.I've gotten a lot of coments on the wheels, thanks. I love them. I know you love your Mustangs. I love my 'vert. I bought it 5 years ago & it had 29k miles. I caught the mod bug & bought a bunch of parts. I needed a 3rd car so I could start the engine build. That's when we decided to get the G. (we've owned an '01 QX4 for 7 years, & love it) The G looked a little plain, so I added the tint, spoiler, corner lights, & wheels. (looking @ a Megan exhaust now
) I got caught up in modding the G, so the Mustang has been sitting for 6 months, but I actually drove it to work yesterday. I love modding that thing. There's so much you can do to them. Maybe 1 day I'll get done.
....wish I'd bought a 4v Cobra, though.

Was just curious...
