wow...good luck with the product...if i had an 03-04, i'd definitely get one!

 

they started padding in 05... I've mentioned it in other threads (when 05 loaners came out) - it is the only part of the 05-06 that I like better than the 04 (that and the hood seal)... I like it so much that I went to 4 upholstery shops to see if they can pad... 2 of the 4 said no, it's molded plastic you can't do anything... the other 2 said they should be able to create something.

The thing about a pad on top of the existing is that it will raise the armrest height (which is presently perfect for me)... I plan to re-visit one of the upholstery shops and see what they can do - I also plan to talk with Rookie to inquire about his upholsterer - he has some kick@ss custom work done on his FX

Anyway - I'll be following the thread to see progress. Good idea for something long overdue!
