I read a while back that the tilting headrests for the G35 that everythingG35.com and grubbsperformance.com are selling are really the headrests out of the old M45. I saw an auction on eBay for a set of used 03-04 M45 headrests for $100 so I figured I would buy them, and if they aren’t the same, I would just resell them. Got them on Monday and put them in my 2003.5 Sedan. They fit fine, and they tilt just like the ones that are being sold for the G35, but they are a little thicker in the middle than the stocks ones, so I wasn’t sure they are the same as the ones being sold online. Yesterday I had lunch with my friend who has the everythingG35.com headrests and we compared them. They are exactly the same!! So for $100 I got an excellent set of used headrests that costs $400 new at Grubbs. If you’re in the market for these, it may be worth it to search for some used 03-04 M45 headrests instead of buying them new. I’m not sure if all the 03-04 M45 headrests tilt or if I just lucked out.
