Re: New G35 owner!!!

Call 818-891-7964 tell them teddy sent you. The place is called street sounds plus. 16175 rocsoe Blvd north hills ca 91343. They are not the cheapest but the work is all quality, and they will stand behind their work also, its hard to find an honest shop thats why i had my last two cars done there and ive been going there only for the last 5 yrs or so. But beware if u call in asking for price they will prob quote u retail prices, walk in and talk to them. Or hit me up i'l be more than happyto meet you down there.

Re: New G35 owner!!!

cool.. Well I dont have my G yet (got into an accident).. but I am intrested in a custom trunk and to see how much they charge for some other custom stuff i want to install inside.. Ill give them a call when I get it back and have some time to take my car there and explain to them what I want to do..

Can you tell me what you had them do to your car?

Re: New G35 owner!!!

In my last car i had them install the usual speakers all around, a custom 6.5 LCD in the counsel, DVD player and 3 12" Diamond audio mac daddy's in a false floor and JL amps. And in this car, i have 5 screens total in the car, 2 in the visors 2 in the headrest and one in the center counsel, the center counsel is all custom since no one makes a dask kit for the A4 yet, wel they do for the older 96-99 but Audi changed the dash for the 00+. Im running Kenwood Excelon headunit, Sirius satellite radio, Diamond Audio Hex components, 2 JL Audio 12” W7, Zapco Symbilink, Zapco 360, 2 Zapco 1000, Alumapro 15 Farad Cap, 7” LCD screen flushed in center counsel, 5.6” screen in headrest, 5.6 screen in visors, PS2, Custom Fiberglass enclosure, fiberglass side panels.

Re: New G35 owner!!!

my headunit is relocated to the glove box, the screen sits in the counsel perm. Im not really into the in-dash LCD that pops out of a hedunit, that would be too easy gotta make it a lil more interesting :P

Re: New G35 owner!!!

Nice...

Im thinking about putting a 7 inch touch screen LCD in the dash (i think it should fit) custom made connected to a computer in the arm rest...
what's good about this is:
- dvd
- mp3
- cd
- avi/mpg/asf/
- navi

whats bad about it is:
- boot up time for PC
- no tape deck.. ( i dont even own a tape)

What would you think of that sort of setup? Do you think it would be stupid to remove the radio/cd/tape and add a computer screen??

Re: New G35 owner!!!

well if u are gonna run a PC i suggest u look at a DC-DC power supply computer componentes run at 12V also but a regular PC power is a AC-DC i think and if u use that u have to run a invertor DC-AC, so thats a lot of converting back and forth. There was a comp that made a DC power supply for computer in the socali area. i for got his name but my buddy was useing one in his passat. Im planning to do the same thing in my A4.

Re: New G35 owner!!!

BoostTed/ or anyone else: RE the computer in the car thing...

do you see any potential problems? with ONLY having a computer in the car? the only thing I can think of is the boot up time.. and i guess if the computer crashes.. but I really see no point in having a head unit... actually I guess if the stock head unit could be set to like always play this external source that would be pretty cool then i could use the wheel controls.....

my delema is:
i want my 7" touch screen lcd built in to my dash. if i do that.. where will the head unit go? i guess the navi cubby?
