Shipping by train is $699, if they drove it out here I'd probably fly them back, I think that it'd be cheaper that way.
With the train there's less wear and tear on the car but if they drove it I guess it would be a good test of the car's reliability.... Oh, decisions, decisions, lol
I think it might even be more risky with the train, I've heard of cars being damaged in transit, broken lights dents, all sorts of stuff. You dad will take better care driving it up.
Had mine shipped from Arizona---good results
Do whatever you can to avoid shipping it by train. Friend of mine shipped his Benz from Vancouver to T.O and the car arrived in terrible shape. Dirt, grease, dings and dents everywhere-----he's still trying to get it clean 6 months later. I had my G35 shipped from Arizona last Nov---went with a company named AAA-Transports----good company--reliable and professional. You can search and get a quote from them on-line.
As for choices----go for the 04 6 speed-----I love my stick G and have a blast rowing through the gears----the shifts are short and sweet. Besides, that motor loves to rev and sounds great in the upper RPM's. Enjoy the new toy.
