Re: My car is on the boat!!!

I get mine tomorrow

Only thing that kind of sucks is I just found out they didn't order it with the Nismo Body Kit like there were suppose to. But its not to big of a deal, I can order that down the road and probably save few $$$

They told me origianly when I ordered this back in December, that it would take until April/May before it came, so I was surprised to get it so soon.

One thing that shocked me was insurrance quotes. I'm 32 with no accidents and the last speeding ticket I got was over 12 years ago. The quotes i'm getting are around $1000 for 6 months. My 2000 Prelude (200 HP) 2 door sports car only cost me $584 for 6 months. I can't figure out why its costing so much more for a 4 door, given it costs $10,000 more then my lude did, but twice the issurance costs ?!?!?!

If you guys dont mind me asking, how much are you guys paying for issurance? by the way i'm in sourthern california

Re: My car is on the boat!!!

$620/6 mo, 21st Century (that includes multi-car discount, but not the other car)
That's up from about $350 for my 92 Accord. I'm in SoCal too. I thought it was interested that a BMW 330i would have cost me about $100/6mo less than the G35 in insurance. The G35 is officially a "high-performance vehicle" as far as they're concerned, while the 330 isn't. Oh well.

Who are you going through for $1000/6mo?

I don't know. I can't figure out if it's the displacement, power-to-weight ratio, raw hp/torque numbers, or what. A 21st Century rep hinted that the manufacturer has some say in it, too. I don't know.
