Day light at Midnight

So I am a bit of a nut about quality lighting. I have had lasik, so it really isn't bad eyesight anymore. Just love bright headlights.

I have again caught the modbug and this is my latest creation. These are PIAA P-1000XT with Platinum Extreme bulbs (same bulbs as my fog/high beams, so the color match is perfect and are much whiter than the pictures.) Took about 4 hours all in to do. Just had to remove the plastic protector panels under the car, drill the aluminum bumpers, custom build the spacers so they sit perfectly and run the wiring.

I know the car is a mess, but A.) I live in Massachusetts and it has not stopped snowing since November. B.) I am getting new wheels and a drop in the next few weeks, so I will resend pretty photos. I was just pretty fired up about how well this turned out and wanted to share.

That's pretty cool....LS lookin' good. Good choice on the wheels too, I was considering those when I was deciding on wheels.

Thanks guys.

jaydafunk: Yes. I wired the switch to the headlight line, vs the recommended highbeam line. When I hit the brights, they switch off.

I like that too. I tried to match the lines on the hood and front grill to figure where I wanted them. There was no way I was going to get mine in that spot unless I took the front bumper off.

1fastg35sedan, what is the plastic piece you used to attach it tot the stock grilles. I like both, but the plastic piece on 1fastg35sedan's looks a little cleaner.

You want bright?
If you are going to talk that big I have to say...

Go with S2000 and TL (with ZKW lenses) projector retrofit. They are the best projectors I know of and soooo much more light output over stock.

I tried a number of different bulbs for both the oem HID's and the fog lights. This has 2-3X the output. Even people who drive cars with HIDs and don't know cars at all ride with me and ask how my lights are so bright without bothering other drivers. Gotta love projectors.
