You guys ever noticed this about the speedo?

I've noticed for a while now that if I accelerate fast, the speedometer seems to lag about 5 MPH. For example, I accelerate fast to about 55mph and let off the accelerator and upshift to cruise, at which point I should be coasting and no longer accelerating, but the speedometer continues to climb to 60mph... Thought that was a little weird. Anyone else' G does the same thing? Just wondering...

Yeah, this car seems to do it worse than others though.

I Imagine with the more power you have the more kinetic energy the car will have when you let off the gas so it will continue to accelerate a little bit.

IDK sounds good..

lol...I don't know about that. I can't see a car accelerating another 5mph without givin' it any gas, especially with a manual tranny, and the speedo's still going up between shifts. I think it is speedo lag. Probably because this car accelerates so fast, the speedo can't keep up Although there doesn't seem to be any tach lag when you're gunnin' it, so why can't they perfect the speedo the same way...

Im pretty sure im right..

You cant expect the car to stop acclerating after you let off the gas, of course unless your still in gear. Try this Accelerate to 60mph and then slam on the brakes and see if the speedo keeps going up right when you hit the brake. Im not saying the speedo is 100% perfect but i believe what they are talking about is the car still accelerating.
