what is my cars value

Can i expect 21K trade in value for a 2005 G35, 6MT, premium package with only 21500 miles , in excellent condition.

KBB shows 19K.

I would go the other way with the trade in value, if kbb shows 19 expect the dealer to short it 2 grand...

Dealers never give you the kbb.

Your better off trying to sell it on your own.

Yep, dealer will never give you KBB. I'd bet they offer you $15,500 for it, no bull. You'd do way better to advertise it in Autotrader.com or Cars.com; you maybe able to sell it for $21,000.

you will not get jack. they have to sell and make money. and they wont wholesale that one. So, if it is worth 19k expect 16k-17k at best. And really they will try and steal it from you in the "trade". Sell you wholesale give you wholesale (their car and your car). Or sell you retail and trade you retail...it is a game. You are best getting your best price -no trade -dont even tell em. Then after that negotiate your car. or like others said - cars.com or autotrader.com
good luck.

i know i am better off selling it personally but i owe my finance company and have to clear off the loan, which i dont want to do.

Wonder why kbb shows 19K, thats pretty low for a 3 yr old car.

Very accurate.

Having been to several auctions recently, I'd say Gs are sold in the ballpark of around 14 and 15ish, with mileage ranging from 15000 to 30000 miles. That would be the price a dealership would offer, but add two or three grands if you are selling privately.

Gs have a poor residual value in the first place, but now that the new body style is out it's even worse.

Actually, its pretty decent (hence why the lease rates are so good)

At the end of our 04s lease, the buyout is 21k.

On his car, they will give you KBB.

On my trailblazer, they gave us KBB and a little more when i traded it in on my current 05 G. I very seriously doubt they will sell it for 2 grand less.
