I agree. With some TLC and time they can be made to fit. Even with basic raw material you can do it but don't expect it to take 5 minutes!

Does anyone know where I can get the tape? I'm going to have it cut and applied by a local body shop who does this sort of thing standard but he told me I need to buy the tape and bring it to them. He assumed there would be some sort of pre-cut kit or something. Then he told me about how they use a squeegee and make sure all of the air bubbles are out. What do you all think?

You can PM Blue_Batmobile and order just the overlay material and have it cut

I know this is a lil late but i stumbled on this post while searching for somethign else. ir order to do it right you cant use blackout tape, i went and got 5 yr outdoor matte black vinyla nd had perfect strips cut for the straight sections and traced a contour of teh rear door sections onto a 16x16" piece and cut a rough outline, then i put it on teh chrome and cut it a lil more exact, then carefully layed it down while tucking it away under the rubber and trimming off teh excess, to this day it looks perfect, the infiniti techs even thought i had it painted or that it was a special order piece.
