I take my own oil (Mobil1 or Castrol Sytec synthetic blend)
to the dealer and have them do it. It generally costs me
less than $30. It's pretty convienent, I get a loner and a car
wash. They always check the tranny fluid level and other
checks. It's just easier to have Infiniti do it for me.

I use the dealership to do oil changes for $42 just because it's a hassle to remove that one cover underneath. Everything else I can do myself, ie rotate tires, brake inspection, microfilter and filter change, etc...

Re: $$ FOR Infiniti Maintenence?
Since I get 3 years of free oil changes and drive around 2500 miles per 3 months, I just get the dealer to do it. It's free and I don't drive my car hard (often). Once my free stuff is over, I plan to do everything myself. Don't know how much everything will cost me yet, but I feel better that I'm doing it myself.

$45 at my dealer, including the wash and a loaner car, I don't think that's bad, I grew tired of doing this stuff myself several years ago, and I like getting the car back clean, not oil all over the fenders, etc!

I've been doing it by myself. cost me around $30 for Mobile 1 oil and filter. You don't have to take the underneath cover once you put a plug with valve (comes in handy). It probably takes me 20 minutes to change. I check all parts by myself too...save me some bucks...for sure if you want to do it yourself...save all receipts and record the date and mileage..

Yes, maintenance costs for any luxury line is going to be expensive. I brought my car into my dealer this morning for my first free oil change and the value I saw on the receipt was $46. I asked how much the 7500 mile service was and they said $170. That's just highway robbery for an oil change, tire rotation, and a maybe a wash. That's why I'm going to do all the maintenance myself except for maybe every 30K service.

I've paid $22/23 for my 2 oil changes so far, but they have been at the Nissan dealership accross the street from my job
I've been planning to call the dealership, 200 miles away, about how much the 7500 mile service will cost, since it appears to be the first one that does several checks, tire rotation, etc. I guess the question is what kind of loaner I would get.
