K&N + Z Tube = Water into intake?

Just a quick question. I have a K&N replacement plus a Z tube and just love what it's done. Is there any risk of water getting to the intake in cases of rain? Possible engine damage? Just curious. TIA for input.

No there isn't. Now if you were going with a Cold Air Intake then yes there's a chance.

Yeah, there's a big difference between just a z-tube and a z-tube with the "pop charger" mod. The z-tube and K&N by themselves should have no greater risk than the stock setup... because it practically *is* the stock setup, just minus the resonator in the intake tube.

The pop-charger is a different animal. Probably not a great risk, but it's a different animal.

The pop-charger has zero risk of water getting in as well, unless you make it a habit of fording rivers.

I would not worry for a split second about the z-tube and a
K&N drop-in. It is basically just like the stock setup. Relax
dude.
