G35 2005 and Beyond

Not sure if this has been discussed before but does anybody know when the G35 is changing it's body?? I've heard that Infiniti's generally undergo facelifts once every 5 years or so... does anybody know if this is true?

I just bought my 2004 G35x, so I definately do not want this to happen anytime soon...

This is only the second year for the G. You have three more years to go if they do re-style it. So, why worry about it - just enjoy your G for now.

I bought the first release of the G35 sedan (2003). In half
a year they changed the design somewhat: trunk handle
gone, Infiniti word spread out across the trunk, trunk release
switch next to the vdc switch and extra power outlet on
passenger side of console. We bought our 2000 Maxima
new, in 2001 they changed it somewhat, tail lights different,
more HP. With Nissan/Infiniti, you can't tell what's going to
happen.

Those are normal minor adjustments. A complete redesign happens around 5 years. Like the new TL vs the old TL. Completely different. Car companies typically refresh the current design every year or sometimes mid-year.

yup...several people have changed to the 05 tail lamps. I wonder what type of horses and 0-60 times we will see in the next G. Maybe 340 horses and 0-60 around 5 flat? My one concern is Infiniti will not want the new G to outperform the M....though the Altima and Maxima run about the same 0-60 times, so maybe it will match the M. I think they could tweak the body and make it sportier....especially the rear. Hey, there's always a chance the next G could be uglier than the current one....look at BMW.
