Problem in the Rain on g35x, need help

I was driving yest on the highway and it started to poor like crazy. After driving for like 20 min in the rain, the car started to act wierd, it started to jerk if i would try to go over 2500rpm, i could not go over 60mph. So i pulled over and turned the car of and on, and i tried to rev it and it would not go over 2500rmp again, so i turned it off and after 10 min started it and it was fine untill i started to drive again in the rain and it stated doin the same crap again. When i go home where it was nice and dry after a while it was normal again. Any one have the same problem or know what the problem is or any advise on what i should do?

Never heard of that problem, sounds as if water got in and was shorting something out. I would definitely take it to the dealers and explain the problem, even though it might be difficult to replicate again.
If you do find out what caused it please let us know.
Cato has a good point, if you have a cai maybe it ingested some water

CAI = Cold Air Intake such as Injen, AEM, NISMO? All of these have the potential to suck in water if you drive thru some high water.

You should be able to get a bypass valve for your CAI, which would prevent any water from being sucked in. Check the web site for your CAI maker.

It's the MAF sensor (located right behind the airbox). Something shorted it out, probably the rain. When the MAF sensor fails the car goes into a limp mode which on Nissans is a max operating RPM of 2500rpms. I've never heard of one failing and then coming back to life, but electronics are funny like that. Keep an eye on it.
