So I come out of work ready to go home and notice a white car hit my bumper and left a basketball sized dent on the corner and it is halfway falling off. They didn't leave a note. I was/am so angry words can't describe it. I doubt i'll see that *#$&$&# again because they were probably visiting the doctor across the hall from my office and have a huge influx of patients. Anyways if I have to buy a new bumper I might as well get something decent. What are some not too expensive alternatives to the OEM bumper for the 05/06? Do they come painted and how much will I be looking to spend? Thanks Im' still mad I literally just got home to log on and post this.

 

you need to call your insurance company it is a comp clame it will not make your insurance go up. oem bumpers do not come painted every bumper will need to be painted. you could heat it up with a hair dryer and push it out.

that really sucks man. i've had the same thing happen twice so i know that feeling of rage / sickness you get in your stomach. the positive thing is that you'll get a new bumper and it 'probably' won't affect your insurance.

btw, did they hit the front or rear bumper? if its the rear, i'd just get an OEM replacement. if its the front, you've got a bunch of options - nismo, top secret, greddy, OEM with lip, kuruma z (my fav), stillen....

 

same thing happedned to me at home depot. Comp claim. Paid my deductible and got a replacement aero bumper becuase the old one was cracked.

Insurance hasnt gone up. I went with the insurance company's shop, which was caliber collision in Walnut. Great guys, nice job, no headaches.

I had to self-insure $1000 in damages from so fukcing azzhole who backed in to my rear quarter/bumper (6mos. ago). Did they leave a note, heck no.
That was my deductible, so I payed out of pocket. I could have gone to a cheap place and fixed it for $700-800 or so--but I wanted to go with a trusted shop that knows my pickiness and does great work.

Thanks for the 411. It is the front bumper I drive an 06 so i'm not sure whats available for the 05/06 like the 03-04. My deductible is $1000. I was thinking I could maybe save some money. I didn't know that the bumpers come un painted. That sucks. So it looks like i'm going to file a claim after all. There are no security cameras where I work

 

That sucks. My G got hit 5 days after I bought it buy some stupid BIATCH. I am still waiting to get my deductable back. If It happened at work its probably one of your co-workers.

Just make a huge stink about it at work and tell everyone that your gonna find whoever is responsable and kick their azz , then whoever won't look you in the eye or is avoiding you is your perp.!! then you move in for the kill!!!!

Your only option for an aftermarket bumper is the Kuruma Z style Rookie is doing.
