Quote: I have the clear bra on my headlights. They are pretty beat up these days (2.5 years) so I'm going to get a new set.
new set of clear bra - or new set of headlights?... I had overlays on mine for 2+ years and when they came off for paint they were in pretty good condition (minus spider crack in upper corner that I think started shortly after I got the car)

Just a new set of clear bra. The phoenix sun is not easy on them and since there is so much construction out this way they are pretty beat up from all the flying crap on the freeways.

JDM blacked out housing headlights are popping up on ebay. I know these have been around for awhile, but are the quality on these any good? (Search "JDM G35 headlights")

If im not mistaken this has been covered....those where made for non-hid version of the headlights from what i remember reading on here..but i have no first hand experiences with them.

I believe halogen is what they use 805. And you're right, they are for non-hid headlights. So newb, but How can I tell.....
I did a search but too many results.

The JDM headlights on ebay have been said to have poor fitment and condensation issues. I wouldn't reccommend them unless you use them for parts.

^What he said. Even then if you can get your hands on OEM vs the ebay headlights, always go OEM. From my experience, the parts are interchangable but not a perfect OEM fit and finish.

I think I explained what I did in here. Not sure if there is another DIY around or not with more info.

there were a few DIY threads... try here: https://g35driver.com/forums/lighting-177/ - I can't remember where I've seen 'em, but that would be a good place to look...

Sorry man, i replied before reading the other 2 pages of posts... and once I did, i didn't go back to erase my reply.

I have a fear of baking lights, because I tried to do so on my previous car: GMC Yukon Denali. Their sealant apparently doesn't soften up in the oven, it gets harder and turns to charcoal like substance that you have to pick at. Basically I warped the amber piece I was trying to get at by trying to bake the seal.

It wasn't noticeable at all really, unless it was me that was looking at it. Never got to clear out the housing though.

Oh my!
I want that AAC Halo Setup for the 06-07 coupe , that looks freaking awesome for the price of the product.
Ideally I want the clearcorners.com 06-07 LED Setup but that's 1680 dollars and a bit out of the range of what I want to spend on headlights. That's better suited to making my car go faster...

At the next Columbus meet, I'm definitely going to want to spend a moment admiring your setup, it looks great on the website.

EDIT: Screw the AAC lights, apparently most people are having issue with the product from reviews. Guess I'll just keep saving for the clearcorners for one random day...
