I'm in the market for a 03-04 G35 sedan but not sure if I should spend more on a awd one then rwd. I live in NJ and do have to worry about snow during winter times. This past winter I saw a G35 sedan stuck on a bridge and I could tell it was rwd. It barely got up the bridge but keep on spinning it's wheels. Just want to see what you guys think. Are there any performance difference between either one?

Do some research and don't double post...won't get you anywhere.

The same +/- that come with an AWD and RWD G apply to any car.

More weight, less weight.

Better All-Weather Handling/Worse

It's up to you...

Personally, I have a RWD like the majority of G owners and I have a dedicated set of Winter Wheels to get me through the winters, snow, and ice.

Taking proper safeguards and not driving like an idiot, while keeping an eye on the other idiots on the road will hopefully keep me out of trouble...

I think it depends on what kind of weather you drive in. I love my RWD but, when I was caught in a snow storm I was wishing I had an AWD. I love to spin some doughnuts though!

I just picked them up after the winter season, so I don't know.

But if you do some searching on the forum, you'll see that they completely transform the car (my car was drivable with all seasons and severe storms, but I wouldn't recommend it) and an investment for $1,000 for the safety of your car and more importantly yourself, you'd be stupid not to do this (even if you go the AWD route).

I would go with AWD with a good set of winter. You don't want to be sliding all over the place

If your only delima is just wanting a little bit faster G35 then this is what I would get if this set up provides enough winter driveability. If it were me though living in those conditions all the time I'd get the X. They still run pretty damn good my GF always swears my RWD is faster than her AWD but to me they're not much different. She keeps up just fine Of course we don't get snow down here but we always take her car when it's raining

if you only have to worry about snow for a few days each year then i'd say RWD with good winter tread is the way to go. i live in Vancouver and we only get real snow a handful of days each year, so i manage just fine with good all-seasons, although i could see myself buying winters if my fiance didn't have a CRV. i would never take the G skiing as it is.

if snow is a major concern with significant accumulations over an extended period each year, then i'd recommend AWD.

RWD FTMFW!! Don't even worry about winter tires, go all-seasons. I live in PA and go to NJ pretty often and haven't had problems. All seasons are definitely a better choice than the summers.

If i had to do it all over again i would get the 05X that i was looking before the 04, but RWD is still awesome.

I never got stuck once with RWD and Blizzacks. we get much more snow in Calgary than you will ever see south of the border. Get the RWD for summer performance/gas mileage and a set of winters.
