^+1, if you really want a coupe sell your sedan get one. I am perfectly happy with my LS Sedan 5AT, but everyone has their own preferences. At your age I'd be happy with any flavor of G35

Oh well. I still lvoe it and im working on the mods. Just a lack of $$$
buyers remorse most people feel this when they purchase something large. I feel this sometimes when i had a choice of OB aero package coupe versus the one i got LP no aero package. It was only a 1000 more UGH! but i love my baby

why don't you start modding you car and see how much you like the car not everyone likes shifting gears. I also never heard anyone regretting getting a perfectly good car at your age i didn't even have a G i was driving a 100k miles Maxima at your age so start modding and have fun with it you have a hot color G that you can make sick with the right mods.

I've driven manuals for a majority of my driving years (19 yrs) and there is no real joy driving one or the other after about 30 days. They both can get boring. Additionally, it takes no real talent to drive a manual. I love people make such a big deal about driving one and how the experience is so much more involved. Give me a break The 6MT in the G/Z is such a bad driving manual too. The T5 in my friend's Fox body Stang 5.0s have far better feel plus they don't vibrate excessively. The people that talk crap on the JATCO 5AT in the G/Z clearly haven't driven one. This isn't the 4 speed auto in your Mom's Grand Caravan.

Kid's just need to be happy with what they have. The more you give a kid, the more they expect and less their happy they are with what they have.

I have an '05 sedan auto and recently drove my friends '03 coupe 6 m/t. I wasn't that impressed. I think it was slower and it definitely felt heavier.

I think the sedans are awesome, but if you don't like it anymore, modding it won't help. It'll feel like putting lipstick on a pig. You'll still hate what's underneath.

I agree with Dave B's comments. Let this car run its course and serve its purpose to get you through college and into your first "real" job. Once you are at that point, think how hella cool an infiniti coupe will be in the next 5-7 yrs--do it then. Focus on a few mods here and there to increase your driving pleasure. If you give in to that little voice in your head, you will be setting yourself up for a lifetime of poor financial decisions. Also, focus on one day having this car paid off and what that could do for you financially as a young 20 something. You will soon realize there are more things you want/need to spend money on in life other than a car. A kid your age should be ecstatic to drive what you have. Do me a favor, go to a used car lot and drive a 1998 plain Jane Honda Civic for a few miles--tell the salesman your looking for a car for a little sister. You will come away with a greater appreciation for what you have. Remember, its not wanting what you don't have, its wanting what you DO have (unless of course what you have is crap , which is not the case for you).

**btw, anyone that calls that a granny car is just jealous. If the person telling you that has a Z car or g coupe or m3.....they're probably basing those comments soley on the fact that you are 18 in a sedan.

Janik, seriously, you should be extremely thankful for what you have. There are lots of teens that would absolutely love to have your car.
and remember, it was only a month or two you were having wet dreams over CandlestickPark's LS Automatic sedan. Now you have the same ride but with less mods.

Enjoy it, my friend
