Red face 60K Maintenance

I'm past due to for this checkup and I got a quote from An infiniti dealer near by for $730. I was waiting to get some income tax returns, but damn, I had no idea it would cost that much. Any thoughts and ideas will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Scam. It should not cost that much, this has been covered an infinite about of times. Check local import shops they can do it for 1/4th the cost. Most of it is a bunch of checks.

If you can wait, I'll have videos up for the belts, PCV valve, and coolant. Combined with all the other videos here, it should be enough for you to do the 60k service on your own (assuming you have all the tools).

Unfortunately, all the Videos in the World would not help given that I neither have the time nor tools. In my College days, I had ample time to play around, then again, my '96 Max then isn't nearly as complicated as '04 G35X. I was wondering what the ballpark cost should be.

thats too high... just find a good trusted shop to do it for you... and the little things you can DIY like air filter, oil, incabin filtir... you can find those DIY's on www.infinitihelp.com

if you want a dealer to do the work go to a Nissan dealer if there is one nearby. They do the same exact work Infiniti will do for alot less usually. If you want to save the most go to a trusted mechanic like previously said.

ask them for a detailed breakdown of that $730 and compare it to what nissan suggest for Sched. 1... in my case for 30k service, out of $500 quoted, $230 was dealers BS services (like 100 bucks for fuel system cleaning) ... I am assuming it would include trans flush/differential fluid change/coolant flush ... those IMO are required at 60k, but see if nissan dealer can do it cheaper

It depends on what you're looking to do at 60k miles. I recently did the air filter, spark plugs, drive belts, cabin filter, pcv valve, oil change, front & rear differential drain/ refill, ATF drain/ refill, transfer case drain/ refill, and coolant drain/ refill... and it was a bit pricey to be honest. But I also went with mostly synthetic fluids, minus the ATF and transfer case, I went with Genuine Nissan fluids with those two.

Just did mine plus removed and cleaned the throttle body for good measure. It was very black and had noticable build up.
$45 for new belts, ngk factory plugs, throttle body gasket (friends at parts dept so I got it cheap).
$65 Royal purple synthetic oil and synthetic gear oil
$3 Throttle Body Cleaner
$80 Colant flush.
$0 Cleaned by Stillen filter

Was very satisfied with the results of TB cleaning and spark plugs. Also found out I have a bad valve cover gasket. hopefully covered under warranty.
