This may simply be they will not be announcing it at the NYAS. Too many reliable sources have confirmed the interior changes for the G.

Huh??? It has been explicitly stated that NO ANNOUNCEMENT would be made about the G35 at the NYAS. So you simply confirmed this! The introduction of the new G35 interior will come later. Good grief!!!!!

Im surprised by the annoucement of the Altima SE-R model in 05 ! i guess they are trying to market altima as the new sports sedan which the question begs to the asked is whehter the Sentra SE-R will survive much longer (used to be a SpecV follower)

Re: 2005 G35 not changing....

The Altima and Sentra are in two different market categories...The Sentra is a compact sedan, so the Sentra SE-R is a compact sport sedan...I see no reason to discontinue the Sentra SE-R, as it competes directly with Neon SRT-4 (albeit poorly) and the upcoming Cobalt SS, just to name a couple of competitors...Your average Sentra customer can't afford the Altima, and the average Sentra SE-R customer isn't interested in a larger sedan...They tend to be young tuners looking for something different to throw at Civics...The Altima doesn't technically belong being directed at the Neon SRT-4, but the power is closer...Just my opinion

Who, and what have they said?

Several Infiniti dealers that post on G forums (such as Grubbs) have talked about the changes and I have a corporate contact at Nissan that has also confirmed.

I feel pretty confident the changes are coming. Infiniti is focusing on the new M and Nissan on the Altima SER at this time.

I'd trust the corporate contact, but I never trust the dealerships...I was a car salesman and we got tons of bullsh&t info...I feel pretty confident in your corporate contact, though...As long as he isn't just a mail boy =)

Special Officer Doofy...Did you get the bad info, or dish it out? My guess is the latter of the two. J/k buddy!

My question is who really gives a flying f*ck. Are people so vain that they are going to trade in their relatively new G35 for some minor interior upgrades? Actually I just called a bunch of people out on that one.

Re: 2005 G35 not changing....

My corporate contact carpools with a Nissan/Infiniti engineer/tech everyday, so the confirmation was relayed right from him.

I don't get your comments, bro.

If the changes in '05 are significant enough, I will make the jump. I've had a lot of fit and finish issues with my '03.

Re: 2005 G35 not changing....

If it is true about the new interior, I am going to go the route many 99 Mustang Cobra owners went when they saw the new 01 interior and upgrade to the newer one if its nicer.

LOL

"It was good!"

Looking back, I can say I didn't pass on rumors to my customers...I mainly sold 350Zs, and the only rumor we heard was that the Roadster was coming out, and it did, and that the Performance model may be eliminated from the lineup...That has yet to prove true, but I know that some countries only have three trim levels instead of America's five...I never sold that many Performance models, and we never ordered many...Anyway, "Don't disturb me when I'm cleaning my room!", gdup
