My car feels wobbly on the freeway

For some reason, i'v known this for awhile but never said anything, but now its just starting to get on my nerves.

When i got down the highway, my car feels like im back in an SUV. Its almost as if the wheels are on loosly and it kinda sways back and forth. When you go over a ridge it kinda wobbles side to side as well.

Our old 04 never felt like this (it felt planted and secure) and same with the 08. But mine, just feels wobbly.

I dont know if its because of RWD or the tires or somone not putting the wheels on, but its driving me nuts!

Any input?

Um why question the RWD when your 04 didn't do it? Probably an alignment/bushing issue

+1

This happens to me too but only on 1 section of a certain highway.. all other highways are fine except for this one part.

Car feels wobbly and like the back end is going to give way and swing out... I wonder what this could be

I remember one time at the track the guys doing the inspections told me i had a missing lug nut.. but even after putting on the missing lug nut i still had the wobble.

Could it be the wind? because it happens in the area where there are about 4 different bridges over the part of the freeway.

I first thought it was the wind, but then i took the 08 out on a windy day and it felt fine...

Hmm, i might have to get it up on a lift, but it feels fine at lower speeds or around turns, just when it gets on the freeway 60+.

And i didnt know if maybe the RWD had a factor in the wobblyness.

Could be the tires. My car tends to tramline a bit on concrete freeways with the tiny grooves cut in to them. I chalk it up to the 275 t1r's in the rear as it feels like it's only the rear that is moving around. It's quite uneasying when there's heavy traffic going at speed.

Wobble as in left to right (out of balance) or floating as in up and down like in a Buick? My G tends to kind of float a little on the highway, but I don't have the sport package with the sport suspension.

For me its like something is pushing the back of the car to the right for a few seconds then it comes back to normal.. then it gets pushed to the right again and back.

Yea, its not really a constant wobble.. I also have pretty much new goodyear tires.. Does this only happen to you on a certain part of the freeway?.. Mine only happens on exactly 1/2 mile stretch on the I-10 and it goes away after i pass that part.

At first i thought my frame was bent and i was driving crooked down the freeway. Thats kinda what it feels like.
