Re: new to the forum...lots of questions
Hmm...I thought the story of the pic involved the chance for a different pic, but maybe I misunderstood...Oh well...Back to The Spark to see how slutty I am...

doh. wrong again. that story came way after the pic was taken. but eh, you don't need to consult The Spark. just ask your "roommate" for answers. lol.

Roommate is the only label I'm comfortable with, damn it...And I've been told I can see whomever I'd like to, which translates into "touch another woman and I'll castrate you with a dull butter knife, slowly"...

Needspeed,
I had an Audi A4 with the Wett chip and the first thing I noticed was that there is no 40 HP chip mod for the G. You have to piece together your mods 2-5 HP at a time, and you won't go over 300 without some seriously heavy ones.
That's one thing great about the Audi turbo was that it was soooo easy to increase the HP with some simple upgrades. Also, I believe the 1.8T Audi only weighs about 2950? Right? I didn't have an AWD though, so if you do, it's heavier. You won't need to get 260 hp to keep up with a G in any case. My biggest problem I had with my Audi was keeping the rubber from spinning.
What are your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times in your current set up?

Hahahaha! When I saw the number of posts on this thread I thought you guys had a G lowered, turbocharged, body kits, etc...by now. LMAO! Geez, talk about hijacking a post! It's true though, this topic comes up daily it seems. Search and have fun, post, PM as necessary.

Re: new to the forum...lots of questions
yeah i apologize for the noob question, I hang out on audiworld and im actually a mod on audilounge.com and i usually hate noobs question as i answer the same thing atleast a few times a month. the questions there are ususally along the lines of "who makes the best chip". And for whomever asked me my 1/4 mile times i actually dont track my car so i dont honestly know, my 0-60 times are in the 7 sec range which is why im here under the name "NeedSpeed".honestly i love the A4 but the lack of power is overwhelming, especially when my friends drives a 350Z a g35 coupe and an acura TL....
Re: new to the forum...lots of questions
Needspeed,
I just traded my chipped Audi A4 FWD for a G35 and I can't stop staring at it, can't stop washing it, can't stop driving it. I hope the light turns red so I can hit the throttle off it. Yes I want mods, but I don't NEED mods like I did on the Audi. Straight off the assembly line, I can get around 99% of the cars around me.
I plan on trying to squeeze another 10 HP with an intake, cats, and y-pipe, but really that's just icing. If you can take the huge depreciation hit on your Audi, go for it. I'll never go back the Audi unless of course they can figure out how to give me a 6 sec 60, leather and navigator, etc for under $35k.

Just traded my A4 1.8t
I just traded my 2002 A4 1.8t with 64,000 miles on it for a 2004 G35 Sedan 6MT. I love this new car!. The power compared to my modded A4 is far superior. I went with the RWD and not the All Wheel Drive. This is the first car since my 1972 Ford Pinto with RWD. I will have to learn to drive again. I have had three Audi quatto's. I miss the quattro in heavy rainstorms on the interstate, but that's about all. In the winter I can always drive my 4x4 truck. I traded my A4 to this new car with nothing down and ended up with $10 more payment and 60,000 more miles under warranty. With my Audi, I was back and forth to the dealership for problems every month. I am hoping to avoid the service issues with this car.I have ordered a 8-wire grounding kit including ECU Wire, Z-Tube and Pop Charger. I can't wait to install and feel the difference. Good luck with your decision.

Re: Just traded my A4 1.8t
did you finance or lease the audi? and how did you get out of it? i curently lease the A4 and im desperately trying to get out of it. i even listed it on leasetrader to see if that works. my current payment on the A4 is 465 and the G would be in the same range for a lease right?
