new to the forum...lots of questions

hey guys Im new to this forum. I currently drive a 2003 audi A4 and Im pretty idsappointed with it. The car looks great but the lack of power is torture. Im looking into the AWD G35 sedan and im trying to familiarize myself with it. I did alot of modding on my A4, including chip, exhaust new diverter valve for the turbo, snub mount, new clutch and still its disappointing. I could do a turbo upgrade but that would only bring me to roughly 250-260 HP with my warranty no longer in existance...I have been reading through some threads and see a Z tube as a mod being done. i know that its a tube from the 350z that goes to the engine but what is its purpose and what are the gains? I want to do some modding of my car enough to bring it to the same HP of the coupe if possible but nothing too overboard, any advice would be appreciated

close to the coupe? No prob. Thats easy. Z tube has some nice gains. Not sure what kind of gains though. It basically allows more air to flow through. And you know that more air=more hp. basically thats the philosophy!

Welcome aboard NeedSpeed:

you won't get a lot folks biting at this thread, cuz it comes up 2 or 3 times a week and has been answered a kajillion times. Even those of us with the kindests hearts and most patient of souls just can't keep retyping the same info..

Believe me when I say there is good info here and friendly folks. Start off my doing a search... select all forums and use the words: "350z duct"

you will be amazed. i also created a DIY with pixes or this insall which can be found in the DIY section.

We all recommend just spending a cozy evening going back thru posts to find interesting stuff. Then when you find cool stuff, search on those key words. You do not have any questions in your first week on this board that have not been answered less than 17 times somewhere.

If you still cannot find stuff, feel free to PM me.

Again, welcome to the best form on the web!

Cheers, ted
