vinyl overlays: sedan

hey guys, i talked to Andrew from www.bluebatmobile.com who makes vinyl overlays for our cars. the vinyl is the much better alternative to spraying tint all over our headlights and tail lights. he uses top quality stuff that wont come off. theres a thread over at my350z.com about it and in the coupe section. if theres enough interest, he'll make it for our sedans! rejoice! he may need a car down in San Diego, otherwise, ill be going down there in a few weeks to do it. PM me for more info.

Re: vinyl overlays: sedan

Where exactly would the overlays be on the G? The entire headlight? or are we talking taillights? These are cheap and high quality, I had some on my Z. BUT - they are a PITA to install without bubbles/cracks/wrinkles/etc. I actually had to buy two sets before I got it right, even then, one headlight still had problems...

Re: vinyl overlays: sedan

i think we can request that he do a number of different overlays depending on what each individual wants. it can be just headlights, just tail lights, just reverse light housing or just around the headlight circles, etc.

i dont think installation should be thaaat hard as long as you take your time and dont rush through it.

its much better than using that tint spray stuff becuase of the lack of glossyness.

Re: vinyl overlays: sedan

I spent about an hour on each install, using lots of soap and water, and a squegee. Maybe I'm just vinyl challenged...

I was just curious about the designs because on the Z, there were lines that made partial headlight overlays look good and I just don't see any on the G.

Re: vinyl overlays: sedan

I'd be interested in reverse light and sidemarker overlays. They look good on the coupes.

Hey team, Andrew's work is great. I have known him since the Celica days over at Newcelica.org. A lot of happy people on that site with his work. He also has great customer service.

Andrew, I'm happy to see your business has grown.
