2003.5 sedan. Good deal???

I am on th verge of getting a very slightly used 2003.5 G35 Sedan. Can you guys confirm if this is a good deal?

2003.5 Desert Platinum
AT, premium, sport, navi
4700 miles

They were asking 30K for it. I got it down to 30,500 out-the-door. That works out to roughly 28K before fees.

What do you guys think? Should I go for it?

IF its perfect thats prob about right - just my opinion of the market in philly... dealers try to get 30 for a loaded one still even with 15k miles. If stricker was 37 and typical discount is 2k then your saving almost 20% off of MSRP for a car not even broken in...run title and dont pay for add'l warranty.

2003.5 DP Sedan (Everything but Nav)
Injen CAI
10 Wire HyperGround
Crawford Plenum (V4)
H-Liner
Polk Tweeter Upgrade (EX-3500)
Coming Soon: Lite Crank Pulley, Motion Sensor

It's in perfect condition. Remember, this includes the nav system. In my area, the cars are asking 30K with 10K miles and no nav.

The car is at an Acura dealer so no extended warranty option for me. Well...not an Infiniti one anyways.

I bought mine used with 16,500 miles for $28,300. The basta$ds
wanted $30,000, would not come down much. It had leather and
sunroof as only options. Plus the as$hole lease owner prior
physically cut out the radio, melted the headlamp housing and
it looks like he had put on an aftermartket exhaust on his leased
G35. Buyer beware!

Re: 2003.5 sedan. Good deal???

It sounds like a good deal. I paid 27,400 + Tax for a 03.5 Black/Willow sedan and 14,500 miles last August w/ the following options:
Sport Package
Aero Package
Bose system
Winter Package
Sunroof
Edmunds suggests you should expect to pay 29,500 private party and 32,500 from a dealer. I would go for it!

Re: 2003.5 sedan. Good deal???

I just bought (04/05/04) a 2003.5 with everything but the Nav system for 33,500 out the door. It sounds like a good deal with only 4 thousand miles, if its in good shape. spring on it!

Re: 2003.5 sedan. Good deal???

Along these lines - I am in Nebraska, and have been toying with the idea of a sporty car - haven't sold the Mrs on the idea yet, but she is beginning to crack. There is a 2003, well loaded - no NAV system though - ivory pearl, but has 48,000 miles on it. They are asking $25,700 and haven't even tried to haggle them down - any ideas on what it should be worth? Thanks. I'm a newbie here but really like what I've seen.

Try to get it for trade in or less before fees. That's what I got on mine. Although, I think it helped that I got mine from an Acura dealer.

Wow, that means they gave the guy that traded it around $26-$27. Ouch!

That sounds high- I would suggest looking for another car with less miles on it and I bet you could get it for only a little more but give yourselft 1-2 years more of warrantied driving.

Re: 2003.5 sedan. Good deal???

Supposedly - according to the very honest salesman (thats an oxymoron isn't it?) it belonged to a heart doctor that spent a lot of time traveling between clinics. Personally I think he needs to spend more time doctoring and less time driving - although, spending most of your day driving a G35 and getting paid for it - hmmmm - if thats prison chain me to the wall.

I think its a lot of miles as well, but when you prefer paying cash for your cars and refuse to buy a new one (let someone else eat the depreciation) you can't be too picky. Have decided to wait and see if it's still there when my birthday rolls around in June and offer $20k. It should be gone - because the dealership is Toyota and the above mentioned honest car salesman said it would only be on the lot a couple of days as the manager didn't want it, was going to deal it off to the Infiniti dealer. 3 weeks later its still there. I'm personally amazed LOL.
If its to be - it will be. Thanks for your input.
