new guy with questions - who to buy from?
hey gang - I'm a new owner (since Friday!) of an '04 Sedan with Premium, Sport and Aero packages - 45k miles, Desert Platinum/Charcoal. So far, I love the car. I'm a long-time Porsche owner but don't hold that against me
On my Porsche board (928), we don't have much selection of parts vendors, but there are what are called 'the big three', which are vendors that are trusted in the community, have excellent customer service, provide good pricing, etc. (they are enthusiasts themselves). Do we in the G35 community have the same thing? I have gone to EverythingG35.com (sponsor I think) - are there others that are considered to be like 'the big three'?
So far, I am very happy with the car. I'll need brakes soon (Hawk street is what I've been reading I believe?) as well as rotors (should I buy OEM or ??). I'd also like to install hood shocks but not sure where to get them (I can't believe a $30k+ vehicle doesn't come with them?) and that looks relatively easy (there's a video I saw either here on on the infinitihelp site). I do all my work on my Porsche's (928 S4 and 912) so I can't see any problems with the G35.
Car also only came with one key - from what I've also read, I think the best action is buy blank off eBay, cut by locksmith and program by dealer - is that correct?
thanks in advance...

Congrats tbintexas and welcome.
I suggest using the site sponsors as much as possible as they typically offer the best pricing and I have yet to find one that hasn't given me good customer service. Alot of people hit up Rick@riversideinfiniti and Tony@riversideinfiniti via PM (Private Message) for OEM and popular aftermarket parts.
Tons of info on this site. Look up and go through the Stickies to find answers to alot of frequently asked questions.
I went with NRG hood dampners. There are others as well (Tein) but I think they cost more.
Good luck and happy modding

What G35Papa said, and also don't be afraid to dive into the classifieds. I've gotten sways (thanks Mike), a front strut bar (thanks Beebo), a coupe middy (thanks Hexxx), z springs, etc... from other members here.
The forum's a great place, you can waste a whole day here besides working or going to school. Lots of post ****** here

thanks for the info guys! My 928 S4 is black and although it looks awesome when cleaned up, it looks dirty in about 5 minutes I have had many, many cars and it's the first black one. I vowed to never again buy black or any dark colour... Here are more pics - just a regular standard no-mod car.

Warm welcome. Just sift through the marketplace from private and sponsored classifieds. I got all of my mods (brand new and used) from there. tony@riversideinfiniti is a nice guy and very informative, but is in California and will charge extra to ship most items. I've never had problems dealing with other members as well. *Knock on wood*
Brakes: I use Hawks pads and OEM rotors.
Good luck!

Congrats on the purchase.
OEM parts = Riverside Infiniti
Performance parts = Forged Performance, GT Motorsports, Z1 Motorsports, Performance Factory, Vivid Racing, Intense Motorsports. There are more but those are who I can think of off the top of my head.
Detail products = Detailed Image
Many of these vendors give discount to Driver members so make sure and ask.
