sleeper looks=function over form
that's how i see it, like most who replied...

i prefer to spend on go fast parts, better suspension, lighter wheels along with better brakes than on a nice paint job and video screens behind each headrest,
not hating, just my 2cents....

I'm all for working on the internals to make the car perform better than stock, but I just had to mod the outside so my G wouldn't look the same as all the Gs around here that are driven by grannies. There are soooo many out there now that I like to have my "own" car. You would not mistake my G for your mother's car.

I've always liked the fixed up from the factory look... my G has just enough done outside so other people with an intimate knowledge of the G can look at it and kinda know it isn't quite stock, but not enough for anyone else to really notice the difference. The only thing people will really notice is a drop, debadged trunk and a shift **** inside.

Here's that photoshop that I mentioned last night...

It doesn't look as good as I thought.

^^Forget that, let's see some pictures of your diesel DeLorean!
I'll start one in the OT section.

I would also like to keep my G as "stock" as possible. I already had a bad experience modding an eclipse and still trying to sell it! A few body mods like a new 06 sport bumper and some impul sides is what i would do on the outside. Everything else is just pure performance. Its not worth to me doing the big wheels etc, apart from not having the money, it will just make the car SLOW. I would hate to have an all show no go car, i cant make the G suffer like that. So for this car, which already looks good as it is, just do the go! You already got the show =) its a G baby!

Definitely a true sleeper in disguise as a super car

I wish my g was a true sleeper, but once you lose the tiny 17/18" wheels and put some beefy tires on there, the car just looks fast.

Well you can go with big wheels and more of the bling look without making it look fast.

My exhaust, IC and brakes give it away...

I'm all about the OEM look. Even though I do have a black roof now But I sit on stock 17s and if I ever went with aftermarket rims I would go the m45, coupe19s or 350z track route. Keep it in the family.

I must say, I'm happy with my stock rims, and see no reason to change them. I'd rather put money into an exhaust, and brakes, than bigger wheels.

My dad's got one that run's 9's They're fun cars, but they don't handle worth ****, even during normal day to day driving.

The stock look has always appealed more to me as well, especially on cars like the G. I've also got bad experience with modified cars *ahem my 240 ahem* and getting pulled over all the time. I tried getting rid of the exhaust that came with the car for a less...obnoxious one, but that didn't help either...
