^ lol

I got to get a good look of the overlays in the daylight today and there are a lot of imperfections that I was not happy with. There were a lot of bubbles on the passanger side and some creces on the curved parts. I ended up taking the overlays off on the tails. I ordered a new set from bluebat to try at it again. Now I know what I am doing and what to expect, I will take another stab at it.

However, my birthday is coming up and my girlfriend told me she wanted to get my tails painted the same way as the overlays so I think I am going to go that route. It will look the same as the overlays but give it a MUCH cleaner look with no bubbles or imprefections. Little bit more pricey, but it will be worth it!

Ha ha... You shouldn't apologize to anyone for this! Pretty clear it was a photoshop.

You should REALLY confuse some people & mod your tail lights like you did your license plate, then they'll really be scratching their heads! Sorry...couldn't resist.

Ok, took my second attempt today after work with the new set. started working on the passenger side. Came out a LOT better than it did when I first attempted it. However, there was only one part that didn't look great. Then I sat there starring at it and realized no matter how perfect of a job I do, there will be some bubbles and imperfections that will annoy the crap out of me and might as well get it painted for a really clean look. Going to be a bit more expensive but I think it'll be worth it. I only wanted to put these on to see if I would like the look. After doing a mediocre job, I know I loved them.

I am dropping my car off at the shop to get a things done so I think I'll put that on the list as well. I'll post back up in a week or so when the car is done. Thanks guys for the comments

Figured I would post a pic to show the hour worth of work I did lol. If you notice all the bubbles. I would have gotten them all out if I continued to work on it. If you notice in the middle between the 2 circle's it got crimped together and screwed it all up and mishapped the overlay. By this point I just said oh well... time to get painting!!!
