If yours is like mine, it was in a front end fender bender hat discharged the airbag. Rather than replace the factory wheel, the owner bought a Momo without the bag and put that on instead. I plan to replace the factory wheel with the radio controls and airbag as soon as I can get one in.

Nice car Carlito I was living in Barbados from 2004 till last September going to school, that is where I saw the V35 and fell in love can't remember whether they were Skyline or G35 though. Mine still has the air bag though, Well i should say it looks that way and has SRS on the wheel.

There are also some gold wires going to different points on engine and car I do not know what they are though.
The Momo wheel was an option in Japan - I've seen it in the accessory catalogue. Have seen it in a V35 in NZ as well.

Gold wires - grounding kit most likely. Seems to be a common thing in Japan - dunno why...

Found it in the Nissan FAST catalogue system - see attached screen cap.

Part number is either D8400-79916 or D8400-79976 - not sure exactly which one (FAST is a bit difficult to use!) so check with a dealer before using this number!

Thanks man!

It says in the attached models = all

Does that apply to 250gt or 350gt?

Welcome to the JDM club! Here's my 350GT

And yes, the momo is a dealer option from Japan.

Sorry if you've been asked this in other threads where you posted picts, but what is that blue thing attached to the face of your trunk, next to the Nissan tag? I've never seen that before.

I thought that at first, but then thought, what a horrible design & location for that, no?

As far as I can tell, it applies to 250gt and VQ30DD models (300gt), plus s (sports pack?) models. The way this is shown in FAST is very confusing so impossible to tell for sure unless you are a JDM Nissan person... Can't think of any reason why it wouldn't fit a 350GT, but probably wouldn't fit a 350GT-8 due to the shift paddles. But can't say for sure - I'm just guessing here.

I've seen it on a 300GT which seemed to have a few other sports bits (slotted rotors and the Nismo single tip exhaust).

I don't think it has an option for steering wheel controls for cruise, stereo etc, the 300gt seems to have steering wheel audio controls as standard, however the one I saw with the Momo wheel didn't appear to have them. Was a while ago so can't say for sure.

Certainly doesn't seem to be anywhere for the standard V35 controls to go on it.

If you are really keen it might be worth posting in the SkylinesAustralia forum about this as there is an audio/electrical guy (Chris Rogers) there who does a lot of work on V35s imported to Aussie, so he may have seen one of these as well.

From what I've read it looks ugly but works very well... Since the license plate is mounted below the bumper line on the V35 there really isn't any other place for a camera which can show a view of the bumper.
