Headlight haters?

Hey all new member here, been lovin' the site for a while and decided to save my posts for when I actually bought one!! Well, it just happened- '06X w/ only 19k on it. Back on topic I was wondering if you all experience people flashing their brights at you because they think your riding w/ yours on? I find this extremely annoying and have forced myself to ignore it since it happens all the time in my wifes '07 QX. Anyways, yeah I bought the car all the way cross-country because of the deal so now I get to wait for it.......

Nope, never happened here either. But I have flashed mine sometimes at people who hog the left lane on a highway who cause traffic & never pull over to the middle lane when driving at or below the speed limit...oh wait, that doesn't count.

I recently just bought an 05 sedan myself. I thought our HID's are pretty conservative in terms of brightness. You might want to check if your headlights are leveled properly. It sounds like yours might be aimed a little bit high.

G HID's arent that bright where I would get flashed. A lot of the new model cars with HID's are seriously blinding though.

Don't ride around w/ your fogs on at night like a lot of other douche G drivers do.. 1. There is really no point unless its FOGGY outside. and 2. It looks like you got your high beams on.

congrats on the car and welcome.

I've been flashed once before by some old people, but this was a while ago. I laughed becuase they probably drive with their brake lights constantly illuminated, which is much more dangerous than my stock 4300K headlights. I think our HID headlights are not that bright compared to other cars. You headlights may be aimed high and could just need an alignment.

A good tip for adjusting the lights your self is pull up to a garage door (with door closed) at night and adjust them by where they shine on the garage door. There are how to's on google for different lengths that you have to be from the door and all that. I just use that trick when any of my cars get the Stevey Wonder headlights were one is off.

Projector retrofit is the way to go. More light on the ground and none in people's eyes.

You might have to level it. Mine came from the factory adjusted a bit too high. But I don't care...

Thanks for the replies, good to know this is not a common problem. It must just be the idiots that live in my city. I don't know if my lights are off as the car is awaiting transport; I was stating that it happens all the time in my wifes '07 QX56.

as other have said, you should adjust your headlights. also people think your brights are on when you have the fog lights on becuase the whole area is lit up.
