SWEETTAKLER DIY: So you want to swap out your sedan seats ?
Well I bit the bullet and got some bride seats for my sedan. The seats came with sliders so i had Wedge engineering make me brackets to bolt up to my car. For all those people who were wondering if 350z seats will bolt up to the sedan, it will. They didn't have templates for the sedans so i used the template for the 350z/g35 coupe (they were the same). I knew they would be lower than my stock seats But PREPARE YOURSELF IF YOU PLAN ON DOING THIS !! BOY OH BOY THEY ARE LOW as HELL!! I could barely see over the dash let alone see the end of my hood.but then again my stock seats were really high to begin with from the factory. I've had them for a month now and I'm slowly adjusting the lowness of the seats, but I'm going to have to get longer bolts and spacers to push up the seat some. i'm 5'11 and it's still too low for me (maybe some like it like this but I don't feel comfortable this low and it doesn't feel safe since it bothers my viewing out of the car).
Pictures to come.
BTW, anyone know where i can get some longer bolts that will bolt up to the chassis? I've tried autozone and pepboys but they do not have it. it is size 7/16-4 FINE. Or if anyone knows the correct size, please let me know, I can't find it anywhere. Thanks in advance
Cig box as a preference to see the level it sits at from the shifter

How low it is off the floor

The top of the plate is touching he ceiling and the bottom part of the plate is touching the seat to see the head clearance

Seats

The driver side seats a little bit lower than the passenger side. Pass side is perfect i wish the driver side was the sam height

There are only 4 bolts holding up the seat. If you look on the floor, there is two in the front and two in the rear, both 12mm. You can use a regular socket wrench but you will need help of a flathead screwdriver to pry/unhook the power/heater seating function attached to the stock seats. ENJOY !

You sure it's a standard thread? I would think Metric would be correct.
Local can't beat mcmaster-carr http://www.boltdepot.com/default.aspx
On the east coast but they have a huge selection. http://www.boltdepot.com/default.aspx

Heck, as it is, my head is very close to the roof (also 6'5") and I have to slouch way down in the seat when wearing a helmet at the track. So this could be a great option.
Maybe someone can help out a newb, but what are "bride seats"?
Would power heated seats hook right up to the stock sedan wiring? I would think so, but would want to know for certain beforehand.

And yes, the pics are coming i just have to upload them.
And "bride seats" are non heated, non power, and non leather. They are race seats that are reclineable. The brand is called BRIDE.
ooohhhhh.... see, your comment about "whether 350z seats will bolt into a sedan" threw me off. I thought you meant seats from a 350z. Now I see you meant aftermarket seats designed to fit the 350z.

BTW, i DID get expensive brides. I got the rear painted black to match my interior. I actually was going to get it painted white but doing so would show every scuff and dirty mark because my passengers probably wouldn't care for the seats as i would. so i decided on black where you can't see the blems and scratches as much as white.
