Steel Rubbing sound

Hey guys. Im new to this forum.

I have an 06 G35x and for the past week whenever I step on my brakes it makes a sound similar to steel rubbing against each other from the back. It's not squeaky but more of a crunching sound.

My guess is because I stupidly drove my car up MT Washington last month messed up my brakes. Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks!

Maybe your pads are worn down to the calipers? look through your wheels and see the level of your pads?
