Blown Strut

I have been getting an occasional squeaking sound front of the car. When I get out and push down I can get the sound to make the sound again. Is this a blown strut??

Some are having problems with the lower arm rubber bushings failing making a squeeking noise. There was a thread on this a few days ago, I see if I can find it.

When your struts are bad or blown don't they bounce excessively when you push down on the suspected side?

This may be my problem. I will get my mechanic to check it when I have it in for an oil change. Its easier to look when its on a lift.

relube the bushings of ur front sway bar, it is the sway bar bushings not the shocks, that are making that noise.

I put on new bushings with my sway bars and the noise started before the sway bars were installed.

Is it a high pitched squeak, a creak, or a lower groan? If it's a creak, it might be your compression rods.

My CA bushings squeak/creak like all get out. But I've looked at athem and they don't seem torn. Wish energy would come out with poly replacements
