Mike, best way to get dead center of the trunk.......

take 2 pieces of colored yarn or string....run one diagonal from top left to bottom right, then run another from top right to bottom left. Once the 2 strings make an "X", where they cross will be the dead center on the trunk...then place the mt fuji there


When I was doing the "shark fin" mod for my friend's bimmer, we ran a string from the front emblem to the rear emblem to get an idea where the center spot on the roof was, perfect measurements IMO.

There is very little wiggle room… you have to remember, I covered the holes with the top of the emblem (this lowers the whole thing over an inch)… for centering right to left I lined up the point of the Mt Fuji directly between the insides of each hole (the left one is oblong and the right one is circular)… I also measured from fixed points from each taillight – but that only works if the emblem is level…

Too far right, left, up or down and the top of emblem wont completely cover holes…

Right to left I think its pretty close… Like Papa said, no one else will probably notice the mm or 2 that it might be off…
