I've never gotten more than about 17.5 in, and that was only once or twice. You're just hurting yourself by going that low.

And yet people on the side of the road still run out of gas...

when i ran out of gas in the middle of the road and had to push my car in to a gas station i filled up 19.9 gallons. So yes we do have 20 gallon tank and when the light comes on there is about 4-5 gallons left.

I haven't driven a single car that didn't have a few gallons of reserve fuel when the fuel light went on. The light is Infiniti's way of telling your careless self that you've got a few gallons to get some fuel. Running out of fuel is also damaging to your fuel pump and several other components along the fuel system.

I guess in the long run I feel MUCH better. Cause it was jst below than bottom tick when I filled up. And I was kinda upset that I only got 300 miles to the tank. but when it only took 17 gallons..well, now its not as heartbreaking lol.

I've never filled up more than 15.5 gal, fuel light and a tick under empty. I even have Navi that says "Distance to Empty 1 mile". Had shutter valve/sending unit replaced, too, and I've NEVER filled up more than 15.5

So... either I have a 4.5 gallon reserve, I have a 18 gallon tank, or I have a damaged 20 gallon tank.
