The JDM battery covers will fit both coupes and sedans.

"Fit" in the loosest meaning. I have the drivers side cover, ive even trimmed it and such to get it to fit better but it doesnt have enough mounting holes to fasten it. I don't want to cut the metal lip so I am not sure what my options are.

I want to install it, but only if its secure. I don't want rattles from the thing.

its pretty secure... i have no rattles... the ruber weather strip helps hold it in place...

I had a DIY in one of the JDM battery cover threads – but I cant find it… so here it is again (thanks DaveO for helping me with this):

1) go to dealer part dept and get the white pin clip shown in red box (in pic below) – I don’t know what it’s called, but it holds the top clip to the USDM bat cover… I just showed the parts guy the clip and he had it in stock (cheap, but I don’t remember how much)

2) shave the 2 vertical pins off (the pins on the side that you see stick through in the pic above)

3) put a notch in the bottom of the clip (the opposite side that the pin clips through) – you can use a rat tail file or a dremel

4) place the notched end on the (brake?) line as posted in pic below… the bracket does not place any pressure on this line so no damage will result (I’ve had mine this way for over 2 years). *the white (vertical) bracket on the left is what I'm referencing - the other (horizontal) bracket is OEM and already there.

5) Install your battery cover and use the top end of the bracket to secure the pin clip from above as you would the others

6) And it looks like this – secure with no wobble, wiggle, flex etc…
