questions about the prem packages...

infiniti help lists these for the 04 sedan.

Packages include the Premium Package, with dual sliding glass sunroof with one-touch open/close feature, dual-zone air conditioning with rear vents, driver seat memory with automatic entry/exit system, automatic auto on/off headlights, HomeLink? Universal Transceiver, Bose? audio system with 7 speakers, adjustable reclining rear seats and more.

I'm looking to get a 04x but just wondering about cars with and without the prem packages. What can i get as a stand alone option?

every g35 i've been in has the BOSE with or without the prem package. To me the easiest way to find out if its prem or not if with the dual air button. A couple questions and concerns some to mind.

From what i understand if i wanted to install a double din radio i need to get a skyline AC unit. And from the pictures i assume that they dont have the DUAL button. ANd the dual button has to be installed by me thru soldering old one on the new one.

can the homelink come with non-prem cars?

Out of everything part of the prem package, i'm only interested in the homelink and the dual climate. The rear vents and reclining seats dont wow me. I expect to have a sunroof but the whole one touch couldn't hurt. But if i was going to buy a g35 knowing that i'm going to install a double din radio, would be it pointless to be picky about prem package or not? since i lose the DUAL button anyways?

for the past month i've been passing up cars just because they didn't have the dual button but then i started to look at the DIY of the 04 radio installs and noticed the soldering involved to get the dual button on the Skyline AC unit.

oh and another question, if i wanted to and got a base model can i solder the dual button and have it fully work?

A Homelink mirror you can pretty much buy anywhere and install in a car. Ive seen some cars come with them as a dealer installed item.
The dual zone climate control is part of the premium package. If it has the Dual Zone then the Bose, reclining rear seats and other items you mentioned are there as well. Moving the dual button to the ac controller for the double din install is not hard at all, it took me 5min when I did mine. Removing the entire Bose system isn't hard either

You could probably negotiate a good deal for a premium equipped '04 model due to the waning demand for the older model G-sedans.

The premium package has many more benefits than just the dual button. Why an 04? The 05+ sedans are greatly improved over the 03-04, and the price increase between an 04 and 05 is not bad, if any.

The 04's don't have those ugly tail lights.

You are the only person in the universe who thinks the 05-06 tails are ugly. Fortunately for you, the 05-06 tails are in demand so it would be very easy for you to trade 05-06 tails for someone's 03-04 tails, and probably make a little money in the process.

I prefer the ring LEDs over my 04's but I just can't justify the cost for them. But if anyone wants to trade, let me know....

Back to the subject. Another advantages of premium package is that you get the adjustable rear headrests. They look more luxurious than the fixed ones. Also, there is a flap behind the reclining rear seat that help to get to the rear shocks easier.

well he isn't the only. I myself think the round tail lights are stupid and look like every other nissan car out there. I think the 03/04 are so unique and different from everyone else as most cars are ALL beginning to look like each other.

Are heated seats also included in the premium package, or are they an option? My G has all of the stated features of the premium package and heated seats as well.

The heated seats were optional. Mine has everything G4me listed without butt warmers.

i love the 05 but the market is flooded with 04's in chicago and prices are in my range.

there are a ton of changes with the prem models yes but the only one that matters to me is the dual and the homelink. i soldered before but i dont want to do it again.

heated seats were optional, a thread stated it was $55

i went over the 04 and 05 models $2000 diffrence, to me the only thing is the tails that matter to me. $700 for the tails and its all the same to me after that. yea i know the silver aluminum trim is not but not needed. I drive at night most of time so i dont even see it.
