Arrow Easy Mods ??

Hey guys!

Newb here i plan on buying a G35 this weekend and would like to know from the pros here what are some easy bolt on mods i can do? I see that people like the Z-Tube alot but i also see other people like the K@N Kit and AEM kit.. is there really 1 best filter for these or are they all the same for us? I also see alot of people asking and putting in the spacer? Pretty much my ears are open for anyone that would like to share what they did or what i should do for starting off mod wise. Also guys is there anything i should really look at before i buy this? this weekend? it is an 2004 g35 with 45k.

Thank you everyone!

Welcome to the forum! There's been too many threads started by other newbies asking the same question of what to start with on mods. I highly suggest using the search feature in the forum (e.g. search for "first mods" and you'll get lots of results). Also, please utilize the Sedan FAQ thread stickied at the top of the forum. It displays answers to countless questions about the G35 sedan. Everything you've ever wanted to know about the car, it's more than likely covered in that thread. Have fun

Would do the MD Isothermal 5/16 spacer, and Z-Tube. Than look at either a drop=in K&N Filter or go with a Stillen CAI.

The spacer gives you the best power gains for the money.

That's K&N, BTW.

If you want the easiest mods, go for a plenum spacer (which size and brand is up to you), and as suggested already a Z-tube with K&N filter or the entire Stillen CAI setup. A grounding kit might be an OK mod for you especially if you have an AT. Heard it helps the AT shift a little better but I can't verify that since I have a 6MT. Maybe someone else will chime in on that.

My first mods were all suspension. Got Stillen front and rear sway bars, Stillen rear strut bar, 350evo adjustable a-arms and KW variant 2 coilovers.

It's very easy to install.

I wouldn't say the spacer install is easy (like the z-tube), but its not difficult either. You just have to have a good torque wrench and some confidence. Here a video DIY.
