Went to dealer in Orange county to find out about a 6 speed white, willow+Nav, sedan. None around in Western USA so he said he could order one May 6 but he dont know if it is 2004 or 2005. He said if I order June 5 it will most likely be 2005.
Anyone has heard any similar rifts.
I think I will wait till June

 

Excellent choice. You'll love it (when you finally get it!). I've not heard anything conclusive about the '05s yet. There might be some pricing/options changes for '05 that you'd be privvy to once you place the other-- let us know.

Well i'll throw my .02 cents based on the info I found. For the 03 model year according to Infiniti north America, less than 1% of sedans coming off the production line were 6MT. That in itself already narrows your chances of finding the one you want. I did all my shopping online for it and FINALLY found one here in SoCal at the dealer 20 miles away while there's another dealer .2 miles from my place. Also at a certain point of the year, they stop taking orders for that model year and any subsequent orders are then placed for the next model year. Price will vary depending on what options are standard and which are truly optins. Remeber that cars for the next model year usually go on sale around september/october. That means that production plants need to start switching over to the next model year on the production line by a minimum of 2 to 3 months before that. So that could very likely be why you might get an 05 vice an 04. once again my .02 cents.
