Paint it instead you wouldnt want your vinyl to start peeling under extreme heat and or driving conditions.

I think vinyl works alot better on cars with many angles/creases like the GT-R. The G35 seems a bit too smooth and rounded to make it work well. I don't know, hopefully someone does it and proves me wrong. The link for the coupe on 1st page doesnt look that great and the pics of the sedan are way too dark to tell. I'm sure it looks great at night but what about day?

 

advertising companies charge ~ 2400-3k for a full body wrap. Not sure if its the same material as the "foiling" mentioned in the M3 link.

 

An all over at a good shop is gonna run upwards of $3K and likely more considering you want flat clear... Based on experience, it is VERY time consuming for the shop, but results can be OUTSTANDING!

The other problem with murdering out your DP sedan to black is that your jambs will all have to stay DP.

 

I'm guessing door jams? I completely overlooked that. It's going to look so tacky and incomplete when you open your doors, trunk or hood. Everyone is going to think you skimped on the paint job.

wraping a car is not that bad. i mean if you get tired of it you can just pull it off. i mean yea the money you spent is wasted but it saved your paint job for those moths you had it on there.

I wrap vehicles as my job and i am in the process of wrapping my sedan flat black i am doing it on my free time so as of right now i only have a little of it done. when i get it finished i will post picture. hopefully soon.

where a wrap cost money is the design time. if you are getting it flat balck then it shouldnt be that must i mean your still looking at around 3K for an full wrap.

cool, id like to see how it turns out... i changed my mind now though, im thinking maybe just paint the roof, trunk and hood, maybe just roof and hood? i dont know i need to marinate over it... prolly go the paint route too just because i think the creases are actually noticiable. prolly wouldnt be flat black either...

depends on the type of vinyl you use. if you use the cast vinyl films you wouldnt have to worry about it peeling under any conditions. i wrap cars too and had my roof and trunk wrapped in vinyl for months, no peeling whatsoever.

 

just for your price reference. There was this company at Formula D at englishtown in jersey promoting their company that does full wraps in flat finishes. They were asking for 3-4 grand to do the exterior of a 07 Honda Ridgeline.

My boy murdered out his QX4 in matte black paint - exterior, engine bay, door jams, and he paid 6 grand at his body shop.

 

6 grand! id like to see a 03-06 sedan covered in matte black vinyl.
