Fuel Filter Replacement

Has anybody done a write-up....how to? I've searched the archives and can't find anything. Thanks in advance!

I don't think the fuel filter can be purchased separately; it comes with a new pump (at least from what recall). Unfortunately, the filter and pump are both inside the gas tank.

I ran into a write-up at one point on how to replace the fuel pump with an aftermarket one, but I can't seem to locate it; you could try searching for it.

It can be purchased, I changed mine out when I put a new pump in with the Stillen stage 4.

If you want the instructions for the pump you can use that section out of the Turbonetics single turbo install guide on their site.

I thought I was under the impression that the fuel filter in our cars does not ever need to be replaced?

^ Yeah, that's what it says in the maintenance guide. Doesn't mean you can't change it, though.

I tried looking for the instructions, but couldn't find them. Would you be so kind as to post up a link?

thx

Looks like they changed their site. I might have a copy at work, I'll look on Monday.

Either way it's easy, you just open up the pass side compartment under the seat and pull up the assembly. Remove the filter and replace. It is a good idea to also replace the tank o-ring at the same time. If you don't, make sure and keep it dry as fuel will make it expand.
