all around power

I have a 2003 g35 sedan with an intake. im looking for low end hp/tourqe. i just ran my car and i ran a 15.4 at 92.9mph and my 60ft was a 2.431, how can i improve that?.. Is this normal for just having an intake?

not looking for a supercharger or a turbo. im just trying to break 14's.. i was looking at headers and exhausts.. do they make a tip chip or any performance chips for my car?

Appreciate any input!

Try www.stillen.com. They have everything you need for your G35 aftermarket stuff.

your trap speed is pretty low... what track did you go to? also your 60ft is pretty bad and if you can lower it down .2 you should be able to break 14's but also depending on the track.

are you 6MT or 5AT? headers have been proven to be the worst bang for your buck so i wouldnt suggest that. labor alone cost around $400-$500.

that's not normal for any G. the trap speed and ET are very slow. did you have a lot of wheelspin?

is your car getting poor gas mileage? i suspect you are not putting full power down - you may want to get a tune/diagnostic done...

no wheel spin and i think i do get bad gas mileage. i also had my system in

my trunk still. i had no time to take it out. what could be causing this? you

think a tune/diagnostic will fix my problem? how much would a tune for my

car cost?

thanks.

^^ a diagnostic won't fix your problem, it will identify it. clearly something is not right with your car to be running 15.4.

Also was your VDC "on" or "off"? Having it off helps a little.

Also +1 for the MD 5/16 spacer. Best bang for the buck.

have been on b/c i didnt get any wheel spin. how much faster would i have

ran? like .2 faster? from what you all said, my car still isnt where it should be.

i definitly have to get it checked out. where can i get a tune for my car in

jersey, if you guys still think i need one?

Double-check your time by running with VDC disabled. VDC will slow you down significantly. You need to be sure you have a problem before you get advice on a fix.

Your car should run 14s stock with proper track prep and a good driver.

Make sure you go to a good track on a cool night with low humidity, and a track with the lowest elevation if possible. That will help give you a lower Density Altitude (DA) which results in how much power your engine will make.

Remove any extra weight that will slow you down, every 100lbs less = ~.1 off ET. Run quality premium gas. Turn off VDC. Use manunatic if you want to be able to shift at red-line. Brake torque at the line if you would like, to get a better launch out of the hole. Avoid the waterbox and do not do a burnout on your street tires, if anything a quick spin to release any dirt. You should run 14s stock with a good 60' of 2.1-2.2
