Custom exhaust going on tomorrow

I am getting a custom 2.5" cat back on my 05 6mt sedan tomorrow. taking out the resonator and getting a single titanium flame tip muffler. I am considering having the muffler stick out at an angle to give it a more custom look. Any suggestions, or cautions i should look out for? thanks guy i know i can rely on you guys for all things G'ed

save you the hassle if you dont want to wait till the end of the thread to find the video...

I know its your car, but I think angled tips and flamed tips look stupid on this car. Go with standard polished aluminum or something of that nature. Dual tips suite the car a lot better and contribute to the image of power.

i hear ya.... the overall image of my car will be a track car thou.. when i originally went in there i told him i wanted to keep the stock look, but after we held the muffler up under the car it looked pretty sweet... i have driven modded imports my whole life (only 23) so maybe its coming back out in me. i have matte black axis super hiro rims with red stripe on them on a dg 4dr... orderded some gtr light smoke overlays, lowering it this weekend along with a bbk, already have a 3 puck stage 2 ceramic clutch kit and lightweight flyhwheel, and plan to get a st put in once i save some more cash.

Oh yeah man, I'm all down for modded imports (considering my latest ride is my g35, and the 300zx before that). Buy why not get an aftermarket muffler with dual outlets in a standard finish that fits the car better than the flamed look? Unless of course you have decided that single/flamed is what you really want, they by all means do what you want to your car.

Single tip exhausts on a sedan is a bit too ricey for my taste, for some reason whenever I see those I think "fart-can". I'm getting the tru dual stillen 2nd generation for my 05 sedan.

Not only does it look terrible but thats also a coupe. My 300ZX had a HKS Hi-Power exhaust setup that had two angled cans, and it looked a million times better after I removed them (although they sounded so mean).

I'm also not a fan of the angled tips on the sedan.

Are you doing a round or oval muffler?

i couldnt even wait for today... i called the shop after work last night and he was willing to stay and get it put on for me... i will post some pics later tonight... OMFG it is LOUD!!! i am pleased with the look and sound but just worried i am going to be a cop magnet now... oh well i will make mods to it if i have to based on how law enforment reacts to it.

next up within a week is a bbk, drop, and light smoke overlays

That's so crazy! All my life I've been told that the letter "I" should be capitalized in certain forms yet here you are proving the world wrong. You are so brave!
