I agree with DaveB. I've found beige to look nicer longer. The black shows scuffs and dust very easily. Plus, once the leather on the seats begins to show creases, they are plainly obvious on the black. None of this has been true with my beige interiors. Also, I didn't have a problem keeping my beige clean. I dunno what you other folks are doing to your cars.

And, finally, black on black to me, while it looks all darth vader'ish ... I think contrasting colors is more appealing. Of course, that's personal preference.

I don't like black interiors. Cracks and bends in the leather are far more obvious and also doesn't look very classy. This is a luxury car after all and black is plain and simple.

1) All weather floor mats. The fabric mats won't last.
2) Wipe the leather down with a moist towel once a month
3) Use a leather conditioner once a year
4) Vacuum the interior four times a year
5) Wipe the interior panels down twice a year
6) Apply a low sheen dashboard and panel cleaner twice a year

That's it. Logic would suggest the Willow interior would be harder to maintain, but I find it far easier to maintain than the former charcoal black interiors I've had in the past. When looking for used G35, all the charcoal interior Gs showed significant scuffs to both the plastic panels and leather plus they show dust big time. The Willow interior don't show scuffs and they don't show dust. I'll admit that charcoal looks sportier and I probably would have got it if I could afford new, but when it comes to used, the used Willow interior Gs looked far better. In 05, Infiniti to Wheat which is lighter than the Willow and the loaners I've had with the Wheat interior didn't look like they were holding up very well. The leather in the 04.5 and 05+ doesn't seem to be remotely as nice as the 03/04.
I was about to say the same about my interior.. I have an 03 as well and i dont even get around to cleaning it as much as DaveB does. It is a bit harder to maintain but the willow and beige interior does show less signs of aging.. my pathfinder had the charcoal interior and it showed quite a bit more aging when it was only 5 years old. I would also agree with Dave that i would have opted for black if i bought new but im very happy with the willow interior. And everyone that rides in my car still thinks that the car is new(theyre shocked to hear its an 03)

Got Black on Black

on my G35xS. I am a certified black on black nut. Although I have seen a couple of white and black that are stunning.

I find that any car interior when kept clean, it looks great.

With all due respect DaveB, I must be ****, because I vacuum and wipe the interior about every 3 to 4 weeks. I use leather cleaner and conditioner every other month. The carpeted mats are in the car from May until about Thanksgiving, then I switch over to all weather.

With my prior Maxima with a charcoal interior, I too was **** about cleaning it. It was vacuumed at least once a month, the mats washed monthly, the interior panels dusted daily, and the dash/leather treated almost monthly. The charcoal interior showed every little imperfection and spec of dust which then required my constant attention. It's just like maintaining a black car. It shows everything. This will be my last black car ever. Never again. Never.

I prefer the black interior because it fits better with the sporty looks of the car.

I had an 04 that had the black interior. Looked gorgeous. When I bought the 05, I didn't want black because of the heat during Alabama summers. I regret it to this day.

Black is awesome. Mine is black on black and I love it. I've had beige-type colors before and never been happy.
