weird noises...help please??

well, i found 2 noises on my car today. I have an 05 auto sedan with 20k miles. 1st noise is the rear passenger click, which i figured to be the rear axle click. 2nd noise which i can't figure out is coming from my front passenger tire...it's making a constant flapping noise when i'm driving 10mph and up...everything seems in place and my tires are still pretty new...any ideas guys?

maybe you have a piece of tape or a nail stuck in your tread.

Same thing I was thinking. A nail or something stuck to the tire?

yea, that was my initial thought, but after i inspected it a few times, couldn't find anything...weird...i just drove this morning and it was coming from the rear instead of the front, i believe...maybe it is related to the rear axle click...i'm taking it down to the dealer these few days...

The rear axle click is a common issue for the 2003-05 G35. There is a TSB fix for this (follow link below). Some members here have already done the DIY fix as indicated.

^^thanks lexusk8, i have searched and checked the DIY already. I will take it to the dealership and get that thing fixed, since it's still under warranty.

Your second issue the "flapping noise" does not sound like the axle click issue. I have had (and fixed) that one on my car.

I would make sure and tell the dealer to have them look into and document it while your car is still under warranty.

it could be the wheel isnt mounted correctly or the lugs are not tightend all the way down. make sure to check the threads and make sure they are not stripped down, and all the lugs are tightend... if you have wheel spacers make sure they are flush.

thanks for the help guys...a little update.
1. The slapping sound was actually a big seed(nut) stuck on the inside tread of my tire...took it out and was ok...it was so well hidden that it took me 3 times checking my tire area to find out that there was something stuck.

2. The clicking in the rear is the axle, dealership fixed it.

Picking my car up tomorrow, so all is good. **cross my fingers**

thanks for everyone that chipped in to help!

Ive noticed that when accelerating and applying the brakes pretty much when my car would shift weight from front to back or vise versa there is a clicking noise. i took at look at the compression rod thread but the people in there are complaining of a clunking noise mine is just a click so i dont think that it would be the compression rod, but in this thread most people have the axle click with models up to 05 i have an 06 w/ sports suspension anyone have a clue what this could be?
