Sedan Rear Seat Removal

Hi, All -

I was wondering if anyone has the procedure for removing the the bottom of the rear seat in the sedan? I did a search in DIYand FAQ, but no luck.

Thanks in advance!

I don't have a manual handy, but I recall it was just like my old Nissan Sentra. Under the front of the seats you should find a plastic loop that if you pull will release the seat latch. From there just up and out. You'll need to do this for both sides of course.

Take a look and try it gently, but I'm pretty sure that's all there is to it.

^^^What he said^^^ There are little plastic pull tabs on the front of the seat bottoms. Pull both out and lift the front of the seat up.

Re: Sedan Rear Seat Removal

Cato,

To make a long story short, I had it into the dealership to change out the parcel shelf to the aero style (i.e., no third brake light) as I have the factory spoiler with integrated bake light, and when they reinstalled the seat bottom, they covered over one of the handles that recline the rear seats.

Thanks again to all for the info - I really appreciate it!

Out of curiosity, what did they charge you to do that?

Re: Sedan Rear Seat Removal

It didn't cost me anything because I caught them putting on an aftermarket "factory" spoiler when I picked it up, after I had, in fact, ordered the factory spoiler from the get go. They did the change out free of charge because I told them that I'd sue them for deceptive business practices if they didn't. IMHO, the parcel shelf CHMSL looks bush league with the spoiler.

Regards,

I wouldn't go back to that dealer for anything else(repairs, warranty work, etc)..........if they gots-the-galls to pull one like that, who knows what else they'll do "when your not there"......
