Question for Sedan and Dog Owners

Hey guys! First post.

I'm looking at getting an 05 G35 Sedan w/ Premium Package and Nav. Fully loaded! My big problem is that neither my wife or I want an SUV or minivan. She has a 2005 Altima, I had a Honda Element that I was just not a fan of. We have 2 50lb dogs that every once in a while (maybe twice a year) we take to grandma's to babysit. They each have a mesh wire dog crate that we take with us when we drop them off, measuring 42" L x 28" W x 8" H when folded.

Anyone have dog crates that they have tried to put in the G? Is it useless to try?

I have a lab mix that rides in my G a lot. I just blanket the back seat, roll the rear windows down and let her walk back and forth from one side to the other.

Lose the crates & let them ride.

You'll be fine. I have an 80lb Pitbull that drove with me 5 hours in my previous RX-8 and the G is almost twice the size.

You should be able to make it fit in the back seat with no issues. I was able to fit my boxers cage and my boxer in the back seat. I believe its a Lg. sized cage. I just make sure to cover all exposed ends with towels so I dont scratch the leather or plastic on the doors/center console.

trim the doggies nails and put a blanket. and you won't have a problem with them being in the G.

Don't let the dog crate dimensions sway your mind on getting a G!

I was able to put my dogs cage (folded up) in the backseat (put it on the floor against the back of my seat), without a problem.
