Would you do it again?

I think the G35 has been out long enough that most people that have had them for awhile have their thoughts on them. For those of you that have had the car now and put some miles on it, are you glad you bought it or would do you wish you had bought something else?

Re: Would you do it again?

Due to the awful driver's seat, regretfully, no, I wouldn't.

There have been a LOT of other problems with this car, but none that Infiniti has failed so miserably to address as the seat problem. Most of the other stuff (save for the transmission shudder) have been taken care of in good fashion. The car is so much fun to drive and looks just great. But the damn seat is a deal-breaker.

Re: Would you do it again?

Sorry, but what is wrong with the driver's seat? Perhaps it is time for the Atkins diet buddy. I'm not a small guy, and just don't get the whining about the uncomfortable driver's seat. I'm not trying to put you down, but the G has some of the most comfortable seats out there.

I would buy another G in a heartbeat. It really is incomparable as far as price range goes.

Re: Would you do it again?

My odometer just turned 40,000 miles. I bought it used at
16,500 miles. If I had the opportunity to turn back time,
I would have bought it NEW. My heart still jumps when I walk
out to get into my Twilight Blue Sedan. God it is beautiful!
The creep who had leased mine actually modded it, stereo,
exhaust and who knows what else. He didn't return it to
stock very well, so I have suffered somewhat. But I still
enjoy it very much. It turns out I only saved a few thousand
dollars by buying it used, I'm such a cheap As* that I will
jump at a chance to save a little.

Re: Would you do it again?

I'd do it again in a heartbeat my favorite part of this car is the seats... in fact they are so comfy comfy that I have moved my TV into the garage just so I can sit there by the hour and enjoy the comfort that is the G35 seats. I especially love the controls on the side of the seat it's so convenient whenever I want to make an adjustment. Did I mention the seats are lovely?

Seriously there is a construction site next to the parking lot at work. Let's say they accidentally dropped a wrecking ball on my car would I go buy another one? Nah I would probably like to try something else ... I've been thinking maybe I should lease cars instead of buying that way I get to get a new one every two years. But this car is nice and I like Infiniti... maybe an FX45 that new M45 is pretty nice... I'd consider those for sure when I am buying my next car 3 or 4 yrs from now.

Re: Would you do it again?

Nope, would have waited for the TL A-spec. I was a Honda man before the G, I must say that the TL is a better blend of Luxury and Sport....and I am very familiar with the FWD pull, so that would not have stopped me.

Re: Would you do it again?

I love my G35 but if I have to do it again now that I seen the $10,000.00 discount is been given to M45. I would take my first choice the M45. But I'll stay with Infiniti thats for sure.

Re: Would you do it again?

I asked myself that same question while at the dealer getting my oil changed. So I went to the acura dealer and drove a new TL. In short, I made the right choice with the G and would do it again in an instant, except with navi this time.

Re: Would you do it again?

It depends on what ride you want. I have driven my friend's WRX STi and its much faster and handles better, but it is not as luxurious. If I was 25 and single, I would probably drive the Subaru. I'm 40 with two kids, so I want a nicer car.

Drive them all and go with your gut.

Re: Would you do it again?

I would do it again no questions asked. I hear the complaints about the seats and I don't get it. But to each their own. This car seems to be built around an ergonomic copy of me and engineered around an enthusiast copy of me. Sound, Fury and Fit are perfect as is. Mods can only make it better but they are not have-to haves. I must say the new M45 is a object of desire. I built one on line and the price came out to $55K before taxes etc. A little rich for my blood but a boy can dream. C'mon Lottery! Actually if I won the lottery I would be hard pressed to not buy the new V10 M5 in spite of iDrive and Chris Bangle.
