i called the dealer and they want to charge me $100 for a new actuator. makes no sense how a little plastic motor can cost that much. I did like ttrank and tied a string to it incase it stops working. yank the strink from inside and it opens!

I love free solutions. Just take the time to do it right so it is hidden and not noticeable. Maybe check with salvage yards for a used motor. Having the car as near 100% working order will be helpful should you decide to ever sell.
