Another sedan exhaust is out FUJITSUBO Legalis-R

www.performancenissanparts.com/catalog/products_new.php

It is a single pipe system, 70mm pipe diameter (according to the companies Japanese web site, also show's a dyno plot, which didn't impress me) strange since their Y-pipe and their coupe exhaust use 76mm pipe diameter. Frankly, at $640, that's Borla TD money.

I noticed on the company web site that they give DB sound readings for the oem exhaust system at various RPM's and do the same for this system, well I thought it was interesting.

Re: Another sedan exhaust is out FUJITSUBO Legalis-R

I got really excited when I saw this post ... that is untill I looked through the Fujitsubo web site carefully. It appears that particular exhaust was designed for the 2.5L and 3.0L JDM Skyline Sedan. That explains the smaller 65mm pipe being used. What a bummer!!! I wonder if the folks at Performance Nissan are aware of this.

I dug deeper into the web site and unfortunately the only 3.5L (VQ35DE) applications are for the 350Z and G35 Coupe

Re: Another sedan exhaust is out FUJITSUBO Legalis-R

And actually,

If anyone is interested in any exhaust for the Sedan.

I need a stock G35 Sedan exhaust for some testing and will offer a heavy discount on the part and install in trade of your exhaust.

This is a one time only thing and the first person to come here and get the part installed is the only person to get this dsicount.

Current exhausts instock for G35 Sedan = Greddy Evo 2 and Fujitsubo Legalis R

What is the pipe diameter of the EVO 2, and also is it the same as the EVO, but stainless steel?

Re: Another sedan exhaust is out FUJITSUBO Legalis-R

The pipe diamter appears to be 60mm (same as stock) and according to GReddy's web site, it is now full stainless steel.

As a side note, the Fujitsubo Legalis-R's in cabin noise appears to be the least intrusive yet (compare to Stillen, Boral, etc.) The tone from the clip above sounds pretty pure.

Clint,
Is it as loud as the Stillen?

Nope ... not even close. It's been a while since I've drove the Borla, but I'd say it's quieter than even the Borla ... from the *inside*. I haven't done any test outside.

Jason:
I'm your man. I do have the sedan OEM exhaust and willing to do something with you guys. Coincidentally, I spoke to someone there earlier today to see if the work that Performance Nissan does for Infiniti's is accepted under warranty. I live locally and will PM you as well.

Re: Another sedan exhaust is out FUJITSUBO Legalis-R

which one was first? the stillen is the second one right? the fuji one has the same sound everytime. with the click click afterwards always present. but its nice. i like the stillen better, but thats nice as well.

Re: Another sedan exhaust is out FUJITSUBO Legalis-R

I guess you are only getting the audio?

The Stillen's actually the first one followed by the Fujitsubo. The only reason the 1st one (Stillen) always sound the same is because I manually 'looped' it. The original Stillen video clip has the exhaust reving only once.

Re: Another sedan exhaust is out FUJITSUBO Legalis-R

ooh ic. well in that case, this isnt a good comparison then. gee the sound of that fuji really is nice. like the nismo sound. very...full. lets do a comparison next time at a meet. Stillen vs. Borla vs. Fuji. vs Stock vs. anything else anybody has. that would be nice.
